My mom used to say….Listen to the Chickadees talk!
I remember it sounded something like: “Chick a dee dee dee, whata whata whata.”

Aye! I love listening to the Chickadees talk! They are such vocal birds, and have such a wade range of vocalizations (one of the widest in the bird world, well over a dozen I believe.)
Wonderful shots. I can never get these little guys to sit still long enough to get a good picture
Aye, it’s quite a challenge. Every so often they seem to momentarily (and I mean for just a moment!) tire out from all their endless motion, chit-chat, and chasing after each other. Those are the moments I…erm, pounce. 🙂
