Bear Lake
Bear Lake, in Rocky Mountain National Park lit b the moon (center to of frame), and the first rays of sunlight at the point of Astronomical sunrise.
First light during early morning sunrise over Longs Peak, Rocky Mountain National Park. The peak and the forrest surrounding it are reflected as a rainbow spectrum in the throng if light ripples on the surface of Bear Lake.
Hallette Peak and Fall-shrouded scenery reflected in the clear, cold water of Bear Lake at sunrise.
Mount Evans
A vista of the Rocky Mountains, looking north from a rich near Summit Lake at Mount Evans. Smoke from wildfires raging in Boulder, CO shrouds the mountains as it drifts through the valleys, leaving only their peaks visible.
Mount Evans lit by the last few minutes of sunlight, reflected in the deep, dark blue waters of Summit Lake.
Mount Evans lit from the right by the final rays of sunlight during Astronomical sunset, and lit by the rising moon from the left. A few stars glitter overhead.

Aye, Colorado is a beautiful place, and with nicer, cooler outdoor weather than Texas has during the warmer months. We don’t get as many warm months, however…summer will be gone as quickly as it got here, and we’ll be buried in cold again within a few more months.
Thank you, Sally! Colorado is definitely an inspirational place. Lot of great nature out here (although, ironically, is a poor place for birds outside of the two migration seasons.) The views from Mount Evans are fairly amazing. I need to get back up there, and up to the continental divide, and get some more photos. Actually, speaking of the divide, I may have an old panorama to upload…
When we lived in TX we visited Colorado several times. A beautiful scenery and the people live more outdoors than in Dallas. Beautiful pictures.

Come on! Amazing are those ones
Wow! These are really beautiful shots!
You live near inspirational landscapes. The Mount Evans image is breathtaking. Well done.
