Sorry about the delay in updates. I had a number of posts scheduled to post automatically…however they seem to have disappeared.

This blackbird, a redwing blackbird, seemed to be intent on defending his territory…from me! Every time I got close to the water, he would fly down from his tree, and make a big ruckus in the reeds until I backed off. Then he would return to his tree. He was a brave little guy, sometimes getting right up in front of my lens such that I couldn’t focus. Well, doing his duty, I guess…protecting his little reed kingdom. 😉
