I was out about in the mountains, off highway 285 on CR-60, a few days ago. I came across this little spot off the road, a river to one side, and this nice stand of aspen to the other. I had my whole kit with me, which includes the 50mm f/1.4 lens, a lens I’ve never used for landscapes before. I started messing around, and ended up with these interesting forest boke landscapes. I really like the sense of depth in these photos, the falloff in detail, the way light and shadow work with each other.
