When a Sandpiper is protecting its nest, its primary goal is to attract attention. Ironically, this also makes it the ideal chance to get really up close and personal. Here is a little bit of “Piper Portraiture”, big close up head shots of my most recent favorite little guy. I think he was rather photogenic…maybe he just loves the limelight?
