Nature Photography

While out at Cherry Creek a couple days after I received my new lens, I accidentally scared off a group of well-hidden Mallards that were resting on one of the Cottonwood shores. Along with them was a mother with a fairly large group of ducklings (I counted a total of nine). Unused to the very thin depth of field this 600mm lens has, most of my shots did not really come out…most of the ducklings were blurry. These two shots, however, came out well enough to share. I like the first, where the little duckling is riding on his mom. 🙂
