Juvenile Red-tailed Hawk

| 2 images

I can’t be sure…there are so many varieties of Red-tailed Hawks…but I believe this is a juvenile red-tailed of some kind, as the morph does not seem to fit any other kind of hawk or raptor that I know of. He was hanging out near the dam, in the trees near the fishing spot at the north east corner of the lake. A couple of Kestrels were flitzing about as well, although I was unable to get any photos of them. These were also taken with the EF 500mm f/4 L IS II lens that I’ve been renting for a couple of weeks.
