One last attempt at photographing the Orion Nebula. With dark skies, I was able to extract a lot more detail, without as much noise, as in my prior attempts. Taken on the same night as the previously posted wide field image of the Orion “axis of nebula” image. I think this is about it until I have a GEM (preferably a CGEM, or Computerized German Equatorial Mount). I hope to bring you all much more vivid, detailed, and amazing images of God’s great universe in the not so distant future.

Just beautiful!
That is so freakin’ amazing! Wow….there are no words.
Thanks! 🙂
My camera or maybe it’s me, can’t even get a decent photo of the moon! I’m so envious.
Make sure you put it on a tripod. You can’t get a picture of the moon, or the night sky in general, without a tripod. And, you want to use a timed shutter…like the setting you use when you want to take a family picture. Set it for the longest delay, then let go of the camera after focusing the moon…and let it take the picture. That’s how you get it sharp and clear! 🙂
